No you have the fancy red and I have the fire engine red. How come yours doesn't have a Tach? I thought that was standard. And no you can't have my rims when I get my new ones for the summer. I got my "top" from the local Leer dealer. It's just a shell but that's all I wanted. The rest I'll do myself.

I am getting the same ones (American Racing # 767). I was thinking of the White Wagon Wheels but I thought the black would look better as I have been thinking of repainting all the gray parts, grill and bumpers, gloss black. I think we can even use the original hub cap if we use the original lug nuts to hook them on. Have to wait till I get the wheels to see. My standard tires are 225/70R15's Right now I have 225/75R15 Bridgstone Blizzak ice and snow tires on it. But I have the original tires in the garage waiting for the new rims and warmer weather.

I'm 19 with a Vermilion red, XLT, 2WD reg cab, 5 speed. It's a blast but it's not safe in any weather condition or road. I think it's just mine though. I'll get my truck stuck in a half inch of snow. And when I'm on the highway in snow, I have Geo Metros blowing my doors off. Kind of embarassing. -Kevin

It's a very common problem among new pickup drivers and you’re not alone. The second day I had mine I slid off the NY State Thruway at about 50-mph took out three 6-foot pine trees before it stopped. Oh and add in a mileage marker. Except for the ding in the fender from the mile marker there wasn't a mark on the truck. After that I went straight to the nearest Home Depot and tossed around 350lbs. of sand bags in the back and put a couple of hundred pounds of Leer fiberglass cap on top. Toss in a set of Bridgestone Blizzak tires and it's MUCH safer, fun even. Stick with it you'll learn. I just takes a little practice. The truck is just very different from most of the other cars on the road. The Geo has a minor advantage in that it's front wheel drive and has more weight on the drive axle. Put on some snow tires (real ones), get some sandbags and watch for that same Geo when the snow is over a foot deep. That's when you get the last laugh. Oh and in the spring and summer see if the Geo will follow you down a dirt road at anything above a slow walk. How much you want to bet he won't even try.

I'm recently 24, driving my 91 standard cab short box 2wd. lil 4 banger with a 5 speed. Previous owner "lightly rolled onto roof" all cosmetic damage to the entire drivers side and roof... think it adds a splash of character This is the toughest lil truck I have ever owned, been an awesome work truck (construction and farm work) loves to 2 track.. heck even have pulled a few stumps... this thing just refuses to die. I actually drove it at highway speeds for 2 hours without a oil pump (the engine ran fine, and never got hot, so I figured it was a bad sender)..I'd love to see an S-10 go through all this and still run. gotta love my lil half pint
PS Its gunna get a full body overhaul this coming summer.. finally getting the TLC it deserves

Typical age of Ranger drivers
2001 Ranger, 2.3 engine. Check gauges light came on the other night and I found the oil pressure needle down below L. It came back up after about a minute and a half. Same thing the next morning. Oil level is OK and I'm using the oil that Ford seems to "demand" (5W20). Could this oil be the problem? Have any of you guys or gals experienced this? Thanx 4 the help.
