I need horsepower for my 2.3L!!

I was wondering if anyone had some idea's that are relatively inexpensive that I could do to my 1997 Ford Ranger to boost its horsepower. Also i was either thinking of lowering my ranger or putting a 4" lift and some big tires on it, so i just wanted anyone's opinion about that. If anyone has pics of their ranger i looking either way please send it to me at Dillman813(No Email Addresses In Posts!). Thanks

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Aug-02 AT 03:31 PM (EST)]First, Victor knows some things; one of thoes things is that a little $$$ is only going to get a little HP, Intake & esaust... $200.00 maybe 15HP MOST.. this is no Bull $#!t. The second thing is for the lift go to a red neck town look at the trucks. third, go to the hood, look at the ballers santcallers.. sorry got carried away; and you can see the low riders...
Or you can bring the truck to ford and have a 4.0 droped in and have 240 HP

I have a 79 courier with a 4x4 kit and a 2.3. I was wondering the same thing. Racer-walsh has a header for a 2.3 and they also have a big 2bl carb and intake.
