I recently bought a 1944 Ford 2N tractor. It has a conversion to a 6 cylinder engine. Numbers on the side of the motor are - K18311. Does that mean anything to anyone? I'm trying to find out the year and anything else I can about the engine so I can get working on it. Thank you for your help.
It should be a 226 flathead. There are early and late ones differing in the location of the distributor. Is the dist. on the right front ( 41-47? G series ) or on the left side ( 471/2-51 H series )?
