1990 F-250 7.3l

Hi all I have a few questions. I just bought a 1990 F-250 7.3L and i just wanted to find out any problems that any one has had in the past with this engine and what modifications i could do to this truck to improve the look and power.

Thanks
Curtis

There is a lot that can be done to increase the performance. The fuel can be turned up on it for one. You could add an aftermarket turbo. Check out the idm forum. They will have a lot moe info than I do.

I know the cps (crankshaft positioning sensor) is notorious for going bad. Ford just did a recall on them. Also the uvch (under valvecover harness) can go out (but not as common). I also gutted the gate valve (stuck open) on my '97 f350. The diesel forums on this site are very helpful for me, as was dieselstop.com.
Hope that helps.
