4.4L diesel-powered Ford Expedition [Spied]

Thought this was interesting.

 

Interestng news...too bad already bought mine. Sucks to be me.

 

I sure hope that they get rid of those ugly tail pipes, or tuck them up there a little better, because that it really ugly.

 

I hope they lower diesel prices. At only 20% better fuel economy in daily driving i'll keep a gasser. Diesel alone is a 12% premium at the pump now days, then figure in the extra oil and fuel filter changes. I don't see you breaking even without major fuel economy improvments. Now if you tow heavy day in and day out then I can see it making a difference.

 

I wonder if the extra mpg will make up for the higher diesel price. Oh and will urea be used instead of a dpf or is the dpf and urea gona be used together?

DPF and Urea do two different things, DPF removes the physical soot you see, while Urea cleans up the gas coming out of the exhaust
