Interior Grab Handles

My Grandpa has an 88 F-150, and since he is getting older, he is having a lot of trouble getting in and out of his truck. It is a 2wd and it has running boards on it, but I was thinking if I could find some grab handles, it would make it much easier to get in and out of for him and my grandma. Do you guys know of any grab handles made for these trucks, or could I use any grab handle from different trucks? Thanks

they make a bunch of different generics..some ar nice, some are not so nice...

Highland Group Industries

Those are the ones I was looking at. Changed my mind because I was going to mount them between the doors on my crew cab, decided it was just to tight....

This can be a junkyard item if you want, thus lowering your cost.

Minivans of all brands, luxury cars like Lincoln, Lexus, Benz etc all have these across decades of cars.

If the interior of this truck is nice, you could color-match by finding a Lincoln in the same 4-5 year range in the junkyard, and pluck those.

Oh, you mean handles on the outside... I was referring to inside handles, right against the headliner. Sorry 'bout that.

My new (to me..) F350 4x4 crewcab has generated several complaints from older family members. It has no grab handles at all. I found these

Rugged Ridge Roll Bar Mount Rear Side Grab Handles : JC Whitney: Truck Accessories & Parts

I don't know exactly how or where to mount them yet, but it can't be that hard. Just be sure they are tied into the body, not just the trim pieces..

Oldracerguy: those are specifically used for jeeps. They mount on the roll bars.

Understood. With some creative adaptation they might work on a Ford truck. I'll be getting a set soon, I'll post up if and how they work out for me. At $15 a pair the risk is minimal..
