What is a resonably safe wvo mix ratio to diesel fuel? My truck is and 89 7.3 completely stock I live in florida so there is no severely cold weather. With the price of diesel we need to cut the price down somewhere. Im thinking that any mixture if deemed safe for the motor would be a Big Help. Of course I wouldnt consider using it unless it was filtered and water free.

 

The IDI is much more forgiving than a PSD so it may work for a while; however, running unheated WVO in any diesel is a risk for coking and catastrophic failure.

 

I'm in South Alabama, not far from Florida, I burn 50-100% WVO in my 88, but I start on Diesel Fuel, then switch, no conversion, the oil will get plenty hot but going through the manual lift pump and the Injector pump, it will get plenty hot.
