When It Rains It Pours....RADIATOR FLUID!!

My luck has changed from bad to worse!! While pulling into my drive this afternoon it felt like I just lost my power steering pump, a quick check under the hood revealed that I was leaking coolant all over the place and it must have gotten the belt slick enough to slip. I thought I may have blown a hose or something but after pulling my trucl into my shop I crawled underneath to see where the leak was and couldn't see anything. I sqeezed the lower radiator hose a couple times and the coolant started flowing from just behind the harmonic balancer.............Anyone know what is going on?

Can you get yourself twisted around underneath there to see the weep hole on the water pump? That's what it sounds like.

I'll try to get in there and figure it out, that's kind of the way I was thinking. Thanks! I guess that I will be wrenching this weekend.

The fan is reverse threaded onto the water pump snout. You'll need to go rent the removal tool from the parts place.

My wife has drill weekend, so I have all the stuff I need but I haven't had the chance to do anything because of the little ones. My dad is going to stop by this afternoon and watch the kids for me so hopefully I will be able to get it fix before the morning.

I forgot to pick up a new thermostat......I'll have the wife bring one home when she gets done on the base. I may have to call ya a little later if I get in trouble, done a lot of wrenching on mustangs but never a big diesel.
