I'm in the same stage as you troy. Already have some of the equipment together, securing some WVO leads and building it all.
Heck I was in the store today and you can get virgin oil for 2.20 a gallon here. I was going to call the one bulk food supplier I know and see what the price on new cubies full would be. Probably make it with new oil and still be cheaper then what they're hitting us up for.

I have done 2 kitchen batches, but I think it takes a lot more. I over agitated my second batch and it emulsified, so I had to learn how to recover it. I don't want to go with bulk though, there are some guys making bio about 40 miles from here and he said they are paying almost $900.00 for about 275 gallons. I would rather invest some time and energy into geting WVO. The guy making the bio has also priced me a 80 gallon processor at $2100.00, which I think I am going to buy. He will teach me how to use it, it runs off of vacum pumps, he will take my glycerine back, and he will provide the chemicals at bulk prices.
