1979 F350 4x4 dually

I can pick this truck up for relatively cheap, but I wanted to know what axles are in it. Did these come with a D60 in the front and is it a 9" in the rear? Thanks for your help. It's got a 400 and 4spd, cab and chassis. Once again, 1979 F350 4x4 dually.

Should be Dana 70 rear and Dana 60 front

No Ford PU with box had dual -wheels
Only Chassis cabs had duals

So this truck has been made up.

I did mention in my post that it is a cab and chassis. Mil1ion, by made up did you mean it was put together or did you mean it is a figment of my imagination?

My apology's for the terminology, I am usually more careful than that

It was built/made that way, by someone because Ford didn't build dually trucks with PU boxes.

I also don't think there was a Ford built DRW 4wd's before the mid 80's.

Thanks Mil1ion, I was just kidding around about the imagination part, I was pretty sure I knew what you were getting at. There's no box on it, the cab and front clip look pretty good. We'll see how this goes.

They did make 4x4 cab and chassis in dually though right? A buddy of mine has a 79 f350, 4x4, dually with a 9 ft dump and it looks factory to me cept the 460.

Yes, Just think about all those F350 Cube trucks you see.

Cab & Chassis to put whatever you want on the chassis.
Firetruck bed, Service truck bed,etc

Wow, Dennis, I did not know they didn't produce any exended box duallies. Pretty rare as i think we all remeber that brown one on ebay months ago. Probably still there.

4X4 duallie is pretty rare too. Must be DSO spec. Wouldnm't be complex to put a 4x4 on a dually. Lots of 4x4 one ton trucks with singe rear wheels.

as far as i knew the duallies didn't even come in a 4x4 until 1982 or something like that. I knew that there was a F-350 4x4 in '79 but not a F-350 4x4 in '79. There wan't a factory box option until 80 for duallies.

I was also under the impression there were no factory 4x4 duallies until the '80's.

I would love to see the vin and the door tags from this truck!

I also have a 1979 f350 dually 4x4 but the 4x4 was added. I bought this recently to haul and dump wood on my property but now the pto pump leaks so bad I cant raise the bed. trying to get some info on fixing the pump.
