I got this in an email today and believe if we(the people) bouycot middle eastern oil until the price drops to $2.00 a gallon then we can go the other way until the domestic oil drops. Read it all the way through.

As we all know the price of gas / diesel affects just about everything
we need and do in our lives. The Middle Class American is really just
starting to feel the CRUNCH on their pocket books. Not just at the
fuel pumps but also at grocery stores, restaurants, vacations, etc.
Face it, we as Americans rely heavily on fuel! If you go to MSN.com
and research 'Middle Class Crunch' you will get a better understanding
of what is happening. Most of the MAJOR gas companies are making
record breaking profits while you and I, the Middle Class Americans,
are getting poorer and poorer. You may ask yourself what you can do
as a single individual and the answer, unfortunately, is nothing.
But, if we as Americans join forces and act as a whole we can make a
statement. How? First by boycotting ALL the Gas Companies that
import their fuel from the Middle East! Secondly, by picking ONE of
those companies, lets start with SHELL since they apparently import
the most, and boycott them for an extended period of time (AT LEAST 6
MONTHS). Once they (Shell) start to feel the crunch of not selling
gas, which means losing profits, they will more than likely lower
their prices. Look at it like a Consumer forced Price War on the
price we pay at the pumps. Personally I am getting a little tired of
the American way of life where the Rich get Richer and the Poor get
Poorer… It's the Middle Class American that keeps America functioning,
not the rich and powerful, and if the Middle Class don't do something
to stop the greed of the rich then we will become non existent and
America will become a country of the Haves and the Have Nots. If you
sit back and tell yourself it's going to get better, you are wrong.
It's going to get nothing but worse. Personally, I am going to print
off the list of Gas Companies below and put it in my car and when I
need gas I am going to look at that list!!! We, the TRUE American's,
need to make a stand or Our way of life will disappear……OPEN YOUR
EYES…… JBoz



WHERE TO BUY YOUR USA-GAS, THIS IS VERY GOOD TO KNOW.

Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it.


The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor.

Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the
Saudis or Mid-East oil.
These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell.......................... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.........144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil..............130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway..117,740,000 barrels
Amoco..........................62,231,000 barrels

Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION!
(Oil is now $90-$95 a barrel.
Note: Citgo Gas comes from South America, from a Dictator who hates
Americans.

Here are some large companies that DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:


Sunoco................ 0 barrels
Conoco................ 0 barrels
Sinclair................ 0 barrels
BP/Phillips......... 0 barrels
Hess.................... 0 barrels
ARC0................... 0 barrels

Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love's, RaceTrac, Valero

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy
and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much
they are importing. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally
millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out
at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to
reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty
people.

If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and
those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) .. and so
on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people,
we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!!

If those three million get excited and pass this on too ten friends
each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED
MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would
all that take?

If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one
day, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the
next eight days!

 

I already only buy gas from BP.

 

Yup, BP for my truck and E85 for my car. BP for the car when I need to mix it up anyway.

 

I know that Sinclair is based in Wyoming. I wish they had more of those stations around, I'd get gas and diesel from them.

 

I've been burning Phillips in my truck for years, and this new info only strengthens the need to stop buying foriegn oil.

 

Does anyone think this will work? I like to think it would but can the companies that do not import oil keep up with the US demand? I do my part I buy from Sinclair.

 

I don't know, it sounds like a good idea, but I don't think those few companies can meet US demand... Of course, at $4 a gallon, maybe demand will drop?

 

We don't have a choice but to try it. Like it says, email and get as many people to do it and the oil companies will have to go into a "Gas War" with each other. I remember paying 0.10 cents a gallon back in the early 60's. Any of you Senior members remember the "Gas Wars"?

I sent this out in an email. Problem is with most people, they'll buy wherever it's cheapest or most convient, which I'm guilty of myself. This just takes a little more thought. I guess I'll start hitting the BP station out here, since that's pretty much the only station on the list in the area.

Guess we have to start somewhere. I'm just afraid if Diesel gets too high, my '06 will become a lawn ornament! I don't drive her that much now, which sucks, because I love driving that truck!

 

I've got the same problem around here, there are a few BP's, but that's it. I usually buy my gas at Sam's Club, they tend to be a few pennies less than everyone else. Guess I need to research and see where their fuel comes from.

Hey Pat, have you ever used the Terror Free Oil gas station near 130th and Q street in Millard? I used to stop in there when I lived down there. They guaranteed that their fuel came from non-terror sponsoring countries.

 

I only buy from BP there are two stations close by. One in Weston the other in Wahoo.

 

I've been by it, but I've never bought gas/diesel there. I don't get into Millard too much anymore, so it's kind of out of the way.

 

Good for you people. I've been going all out to see if we can do this, I'm sure it will take a while to make it felt. Just think about it, here we have a friend that is already feeling the crunch of prices and can't drive his truck because of the prices. If we keep letting them run the price up none of us will be able to afford to drive our trucks.
