6.4L Programmer

Does anyone have a programmer installed in their 6.4L? If so, what brand and has it increased your fuel mileage any? Looking for anything to offset the current price of diesel. Thanks!

From what I've experienced with my SCT and what I've heard from other people there is no significant mileage gains with the programmers for these trucks. The 6.4 is a efficient engine by itself, but when paired up the the new exhaust systems the mileage is horrible for most people. But if you want to spend the money now you can go with a programmer that allows you to remove the DPF on the exhaust, 2 - 4+ mpg increase while empty and towing.

Check out Spartan Diesel Technologies for the tuning and the DPF removal. I would say that Ford will 99.9 out of 100 times deny your warrenty if they see it gone or figure out it has been tampered with.

I have a BULLY DOG POWER PUP in my 6.4...barely any noticable difference (a bit more power and matbe .5 mpg if I'm lucky). I got this because I had heard good things about BD. I guess I jumped the gun...
I wonder if BD is going to compete with the other guys as far as their DBF deletes or not. Anyone know any thing.
As of now, I pulled it out to take it in for a new a/c system/radiator/oil pump seals/tail gate...
Nice truck, but expensive rentals...

For the record the IMO, the BD is proably the worst programmer you can run right now. The trans tune is horriable on the BD programmers. They just pushed i\the product witout much R&D to the public. My best advise is to sell it on e-bay and get the custom programs from Matt at spartan diesel. Please dont take this the wrong way, id hate to see you hurt your new truck bro.
