Hutch and Harpoon in OC

Hi,

Is there anyone that can help me do a harpoon and hutch modification to my fuel tank? I do not have a place to do more than maintenance work on my truck. Dropping a tank is also a bit out of my comfort range.

I also have no problem paying a mechanic to do it, provided I can find one that has a clue what I am talking about.

Thanks,

Willie

I'm interested to see what replies you get on this, Willie. The harpoon mod is something I have been wanting to do for a while - I get tired of it taking longer to put in the last 5 gallons than it did the first 25.
The hutch mod I am not familiar with.

I never harpooned the tank, just replaced it with a transferflow. The instructions to do so seem straightforward though. If we can figure out a place and time I'll help out. My schedule is quite busy the next several weekends though.

Camping 3/15-16
Easter 3/23-24
Hunting 3/28-29-30-31
Off Road show 4/5
Camping 4/11-12-13

Dropping the tank is not difficult, especially when it's low on fuel, it's actually light and one person can handle it.

Opening weekend for Spring Turkey in Paso Robles. We'll see who is smarter this year, the feathered turkeys or the big turkeys!

This is the hutch mod:

http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/hutch.html

Only applies to the 7.3L. Somewhere along the line Ford fixed the problem. I haven't paid too much attention since it does not apply to me.

Just a coincidence that I am planning to do the harpoon mod this weekend. But my plans are iffy with other stuff going on.

I did my harpoon this weekend. Put together a web page for the experience. Might be something in there to help you Willie.
