Company sold out :(
Howdy all,
I see all these company's that sell out on the news to foriegn jobs and I always thought it would never happen to me since I worked a family owned company, well I was wrong. My company Tennessee Asphalt Company just sold out to an Ireland based company that has bought up most of the large scale Asphalt company's in my area. Its kinda like Combining Chrsyler, GM , and Ford all into one company it just isn't good. Its got us all worried that they are going to down size use due to the # of plants that are right on top of each other now.
Its just sad to see everything is coming down to who can get the most money out of this no matter what the cost in the long run.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! That happened to me about 20 years ago here in Memphis. Now I'm working for Smith and Nephew making medical implants (should be booming right?) that has been owned by the British since 1987 and wondering when all manufactoring will be shipped to Indonesia and/or China.
