Im in need of some new rear tires. Did a nice spin out in the middle of US19 this morning, not fun when you see a tractor trailer when your facing oncoming-traffic.

I have Nitto NT555's(295's) Anybody have better luck with another tire?

 

Are those the regular 555 or the drag radial? If they're DR's they won't work very well in the water.

I still run the stock Goodyears and like them so far. My next set of tires will probably some kind of DOT road race tire, but I don't drive my truck in the rain.

Yea I drift my truck ALOT...But water+400HP+ RWD doesnt mix....LMAO

I usually drive my Land Rover instead but I learned from my mistake.

 

The only time I drift my L is at the track!

I've never had any problems with traction from my Nitto's, except for when they get close to needing replaced.

The same cannot be said for the Goodyear F1's I used to run on the truck.

But, my experience can and always will be negated by someone who's had the opposite experience as I, and prefers the F1's over the Nitto's.

Hancook's are another option, and they last a lot longer than the Nitto's or F1's, but I can't stand the traction (non-existent) they provide with a little spirited driving.

For the $$ I'd choose the Nittos, Hankooks, or the toyos before the F1's. They all seem pretty equilivent to me.
