How to Customize my 97 f150 4x4
i think if you add some after market acessiories that may drain your wallet but you will have one hella nice ridE and you will have a one of a kind, Plus they may cost alot and do barly anything but they may help when it comes to selling the truck for a new FORD you never know you may get a little more cash;-)

Do you want it to look better, run faster or go more places (off-road)?
As far as off-road mods, which I think look good also:
Rancho- 4 " suspension lift with new wheels and 35" tires. They will probably rub slightly on the front bumper valence(plastic). Rancho kit is best built in my opinion.
If you have the 8.8" rear end , you could get an ARB air locker and change to 4.10 or 4.56 gears. Unfortunately I've go aa 99, 5.4l and it has the 9.75" rear, no ARB available :-(
All of this for only about $5000 and your truck will look great and make the Jeeps nervous on the trails.
