I just bought a truck in Missouri. I live in Illinois and will be going to be picking it up some time this week probably. Can I just sign the title and drive it to my house without a license plate? It is about a 90 mile drive. What about insurance? is there a grace period after purchase for the truck to be insured?

When you get the truck, call your insurance agent and tell him you just purchased a truck out of state. He will want the V.I.N. # and he will be able to add it to your insurance. Have him fax a copy of the amended policy to you in case you get stopped and or accident on the way back home.
