parking brake gets stuck
83 ford ranger notices the parking brake gets stuck my parking brake half *** works feels loose when i press the parking brake. but you kina feel it when its in gauged. what can i do to make it not stuck i have to move the truck forward and back to kinda release it.

I recently changed my rear drum brakes on my 88 ranger, and I started experiencing the same exact thing you are describing. Mine worked fine before I changed the brakes. I haven't tried fixing it yet, cause I busted my front piston lol.

I've noticed the same thing with my ranger. Driver's side pB assembly on the shoe always seemed hard. Finally starting to stick now that's it's cold. I was going to cut that side off and just use the other side till i saw the driver's side is tied to the main cable...
BTW WD40 will not break down rust. it's a lubricant. You need Kroil or PB blaster.
