Transmision shops

Can anyone recomend a local (WesternWashington) transmision shop to rebuild a c-6 to go behind my turbo'd 6.9 diesel without raping me or doing a cruddy job that dies just after the warrenty runs out?

I am leaning towards Puyallup Transmision But since it has passed on to the son now I have been told their prices have gone WAY up.

Thanks in advance.

As you know already owning a diesel, tranny repair work is not cheap. There is a tranny shop up in Marysville that I have heard is really good. There is also a shop here in Auburn. "Kim's Transmission" I believe is the name. Or go where the big dogs go, John Wood or BTS. A little extra $$$ is needed for the bullet proof tranny.

I don't mind paying extra for the bullet proof tranny but I am tired af paying extra for the improvements and then they not be in there when we open up the trans after it fails.

Not Kim's Transmission. The name is Speedi Transmission, Kim is the owner. I will dig out the phone # for BTS he is in Arkansas, John Wood I think is in California.

My Tranny is working its way out again. Whenever I get the $$$, I will go with BTS or John Wood. I need something that can handle 400hp+. NHRDA racing next season. Don't tell my wife.

Ya know, I have been known to rebuild C6s, and fairly stout ones at that. I like to run them with an external full flow filter and front-mount cooler for extra protection though.

I was kind of hoping for a local (in western Wa or northern Or) shop that I can haul truck down or up to if I have a problem. Will have to consider the other options.

Ford_six,
What do you charge and what is your warrenty?
