You know I always thought that when I retired I wanted to move to Montana or N. Dakota. The other option I thought of was Sasketchwan. You know what though I am getting tired of freezing my behind off. Now If we could get snow with 70 degree weather then I would like it. Oh, I like snow more when I am not on call for snow removal.

Well at least one thing we dont have to worry about hurricanes, earthquakes or other such clamities. Ill take Nebraska any day off the week. Despite the cold an the bad things. At least with a Tornado it doesnt hit a huge area like a earthquake or hurricane. If you look at waht goes on in California. There either having wildfires mudslides an then throw in a earthquake or two. Nope not for me. Ill take good ole Nebraska anyday.

Now you guys are making me homesick for Montana... we still had tumbleweeds there, even in town!
Hey, how much snow did y'all get down south? I think we ended up with 8 or so inches around here... nice fluffy powder since it was in the single digits when the snow came down... it was -12 when I left the house this AM. I'm looking forward to that expected 30 degrees this weekend.

My dad always says "Well, we just got rid of the Indians last week....." when someone refers to us living in the "middle of nowhere".....I prefer to say that I live in the middle of a cornfeild, since I literally do. Anyway, I don't mind this weather, but it could at least be 20 degrees and no wind......

I'd take Nebraska weather over this Minnesota weather. I get used to the cold, (still can't stand it), but when it snows in December, it doesn't melt until April. At least down there, it might get cold and snowy, but usually there is a warm up up into the 40s or even 50s during the heart of the winter. Up here, cold, cold, cold. But, I guess It could always be worse.
