-You will not know you are having surgery, unless you are awake when it happens!..If you are having Artho, don't even worry!...After leaving the post op, Barb drove to a Texaco...I walked in bought a beer and smokes, then we went to the ferry for the ride home. I will admit that the knee did hurt the next two days, and was sore for a couple of weeks after that, but I pushed things and did not really take the pills they gave me.

- Water covers 2/3 ds of the earth, and a lot of it is deep!...I guess that is why man learned to swim and make boats...LOL

I dont like the idea of giving up control to have some guy/gal start cutting me open or stabbing me with stuff. I dont take pain pills either, ever.

Lol i can swim but i hate to.

Lol are you having a conversation with yourself here?

But seriously the thought of going under scares the chit out of me, yet at the same time i know that my injurys will just get worse if left untreated...

Nah...Just trying to move some of the posts from the other thread so it stays on topic...I may be the CL, but I can't move and change things like the Moderators or the Admins.

I suffer from white coat syndrom, those people in the white coats scare the day lights out of me and that's the only time my blood pressure is high, then the VA just manages to **** me off when I got to deal with them. Been scared real bad since my ortho doctor died at Bremerton 2 days befor I went to see him the last time. Any time someone mentions cutting on me it's just like in Moty Python's Holy Grail "Run Away, Run Away" Funny thing, 20 years in the NAVY, nonswimmer, had to go through helocopter survival for working offshore and still do't swim.

The only thing about surgery that bugs me is the recovery period afterwards. And cardioligists lie. Some times I think they set you up for the next surgery with the last one. How many Porches does this guy need me to buy him????

Thoughts of Doc bother me greatly...I will have to admit that the sawbones that worked on my knee did a great job!. I was wondering the first few weeks though.
