I got lots of names for my trucks. I'm sure you heard them many times. You have probably called them by the same names I use Whats in a name anyway.

I named my 51 F1 "Rusty" even though she wasn't that rusty.
Now that most of the rust is gone, the name will probably stick.

Even though this is an old thread, I'll chime in.

My son named my 54 Old Betsy. When he was little we'd read him a story about Goofy driving an old jalopy he called Bessie. He raced Donald Duck, who had a shiny fast car. This was based on the tortoise and the hare story. Goofy would talk to his car as he was climbing a hill and say "Come on Old Bessie!" And Goofy won the race.

One day, before I fixed up the truck in 1998, which looked like a rusty jalopy, he is buckled in the middle. The truck didn't start right away. As I cranked it, Zach taps his hand on the seat and says, "Come on Old Betsy." And it started. And so we had a name for my 54.

MIne's named "Mater" by my neighbor. It was delivered with the hood off and it just looked like a Mater. Now that I have 2 littles ages 3 & 4, they love Mater.

When I brought my 48 home, my then 16 year old daughter jumped in the drivers seat and called her “Bessie”, then asked how to put it in drive.

Mostly I call her the same name Krusto @#$&$#@@%, unless I’m driving and she’s running well then I call her
