Torque spec for oil drain plug

Hey guys,

Before you guys laugh at me for being a newbie and asking a stupid question, bear with me. I've changed my oil a thousand times, but I just got a new torque wrench and have been looking for things to use it on.

So, does anybody have the torque spec for the engine oil drain plug? '00 V10 if it matters.

Thanks,

Isaac

cool thanks... I'm surprised its that light... I guess there's not much pressure on it there though.

Wouldn't it be the same? I don't see them redesigning drain plugs from one year to another.

It very well could be different. A 2008 is 8 model years ahead of the original posters '00 V-10. In those 8 years their have been improvements to the engine, suspension, front axle, and frame of the truck. These changes may have warranted a redesign of the oil pan thus resulting in the possibility that the drain plug is different. Then again, maybe your right.
