preoilng before starting

got this posted over on the 48-60 side where i'm usually lurking , but i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to proil a flatty before starting it . i know how to get it done on late model stuff , and the flatty in my 53 was already running when i got it despit bent valves . what i have now is a 49 f-4 with the original flatty { another truck in the yard eh !! } that according to the p.o. who had it was running and being used around the farm up till last year . they had started rewiring it and apperently lost interest and parked her . so any ideas ? my ol' timer buddy says i gotta pull the pan and pack the pump , i hope not !

No, just change the oil and run it. Longer explanation in the 48-60 forum.....
