V10 exhaust

I recently bought an 06 F250 6.8L. I must say that trading my 04 6.0L was the best thing I have done in a long time. My question is this. I want to change the sound of the truck and make it sound a little more like a V10 instead of a V6. What would be the best way to do that without spending too much money for stuff I don't really need or want. Thanks in advance

Swap out the stock muffler with a FM70 BB2 or FM50 BB muffler. Only cost is for the muffler and possibly a short piece of pipe to make up for the difference in length compared to the stock muffler.

I used a Dynomax Super Turbo on my 05. Sounded just a little louder than stock. Still has that V10 roar tho.

Aeroturbine (or whatever their name is now) seems to be a pretty good choice as far as sound and overall performance. A V10 Excursion owner has one on his truck and loves it. In fact, his sound clip is on their website.

It's the one for the 2003 Excursion:

Actually the '05-'08 have a redesigned y-pipe that is pretty good as OEM. The '99-'04...is the one we are usually talking about that could be improved.

gf350 -- I second the FM70 series muffler, but the Aeroturbine does sound pretty sweet!

here's the link to my sound clip page. it has a few variations of the V10 exhaust set ups on it.

my personal favorite is a baffle style muffler (FM or IMCO).
