New (OLD) kid on the block sayin hey
Just found this site while looking for some info on F350's.
Long time F series owner.
Current stable consists of 3 Gen 1 lightnings
93 Black Gen 1with slightly modified 351W
roller rockers
3/4" drop
Bassani headers and exhaust. no cats
94 black Gen 1
357W many mods
290 RWHP 390 torque. 14.2 1/4 mile
94 red Gen 1
Way too many mods including Vortech supercharger
Has run 12.5 but is currently pulled apart for a severe freshen up.
The latest addition is what brought me to this site. My new tow pig.
94 F350 4x4 crew cab 7" lift 35" mud terrains. What a beast. No engine mods. curious if anybody has recommendations on headers? Not planning a bunch of mods but headers should help the big block breath.
I'd include images but don't see that option

my red 94
ok Blurry
Thought I'd share the goings on of the 94 my son (badpony93 on NLOC) and I are putting together. This speed thing is a sickness.
Started with a 94 lightning 351 windsor which had mass air conversion, windsor Jr heads, V1 S trim about 13# of boost. Mass air, long tubes no cats. After cracking a piston and shaving a lobe off the cam it was time for a little freshen up.
Off to the machine shop we go. Decided forged pistons and rods were the way to go. Well along the way a set of AFR 185's became available from fellow AZLOC club member 93AZ-L. Figured he had run 10.4's with them so why not. Loose 85 LBS and breath a little better than the windsor JR's which are now for sale with a 1.6 roller rocker kit for about $600.00 or best offer.
Well the more we got into it we decided to go with a Forged Crank as well and a 393 stroker kit. Hoping to put 500 HP to the wheels at 15 lbs of boost.
Oh and while we were screwing around Matt at Hughs freshened up the torque converter a little. 3000 stall.
Should all be back together in about a month.
Can't wait to get a tune and some track time while the weather is still cold. Here in the AZ desert winter is the time to run.

Are you doing your own tuning?

Well as the saying goes there is no replacement for displacement. While ordering the pistons, Probe recommended a diffeerent piston and the 393 turns into a 408.
Not sure we want to be in the 10's yet. Can't afford to put the cage in for a few months. I'm good with 11.5's
Robs been making a few changes to his set up. Not sure but a 9.9 could be in his future.
