2007 6.0 oil leak

i was changing my oil and looking around the motor and dicovered an oil leak on the drivers side, back of head. it looks as if it is coming from above the bottom of the head. it is a very minor leak but still wet. i could not see where it could be coming from. oh yeah...20k miles

There are several things that could be causing the leak. Take you truck in and have the tech put dye in the oil so that the leak can be properly traced and fixed.

I had same thing at about 10k and it was the glow plug connector. Dealer confirmed with dye and replaced buss bar. No more leak.

As others already posted:

The oilcould be coming from one of MANY places. You need to run it by the dealer and let them look at it. More than likely, they will add some dye to your oil, have you put a some miles on it with the dye, then have you bring it back in so they can locate it with a lamp.

Generally almost all oilleaks end up running onto the rear of the motor, bell housing and transmission.

The most common leaks on the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com6.0</st1:NumConv6p6> are as follows in descending order of occurrence: (Notice the First for items comprise <st1:NumConv6p0 val="65" sch="1">65</st1:NumConv6p0>% of all reported leaks and are a simple fix.)
