The chapter leaders of the Mid-Atlantic Region has agreed to hold an FTE G-2-G at next years All Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA The date is August 8--10, 2008.

We plan on registering as [MIDATLANTIC FORD TRUCKS (FTE) and hopefully be in the running for a club participation award.

This will involve members paying a registration fee which in turn will qualify us to have a tent and parking provided by the Carlisle show.

There are plenty of hotels and campgrounds available for overnight stays. It may be possible to make it a one day trip from New Jersey say on the Saturday of the show. If we have enough members willing to stay overnight, then we would be willing to reserve a block of rooms now to guarantee them for the event.

We need to get 25 registered members to get the free tent.

What we need from you all now is a show of support for this meet to see how many we will have from New Jersey to attend.

Just answer the "Poll Question" and then post if you will be needing a room. The Poll Question will end on or about January 15, 2008.

 

i said yes but that is subject to my wife's health and of course we would want a hotel room for ourselves as roughing it means no room service to my wife look forward to see ing everyone there

Although it's about a year to go i will probably be there. I live in central jersey so may go for the day but then again it depends on how many beers i put away.How's it workin as far as you guys having a designated hang out area or whatever, i'm just wonderin so i can meet up with everyone and support our awesome club thanks

 

Well if we can get 25 FTE'rs from the Mid-Atlantic region to commit to registering, we will have our own tent in the show field area all to our selves.

Abount that. We really need to get some commitments so we can reserve a block of rooms for those who want to stay over.

Get all of your buddies to sign up. We have this same thread posted in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

Hopefully the CL's in those chapters are pushing the idea. Should be a fun time.

One of the PA members, jimmyb08SD, has already helped me with setting up the campsite. Now we need a recommendation for a motel/hotel.

When making your reservation, the rooms are under the MIDATLANTIC FORD TRUCKS (FTE) CLUB. You must give the club name in order to get the discounted rate!

The rooms are for Friday August 8 and Saturday August 9, 2008.

The Quality Inn has agreed to hold the 15 rooms until June 15, 2008. So IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS EARLY TO GUARANTEE YOURSELF A ROOM.

The rate is $75.00 per nite which is about $25 to $50 dollars cheaper than anything else available. All rooms in a five mile radius of Carlisle are booked and have been for quite some time.
