Is there a delay when you add a custom avatar? I just added one and it's not displaying.

 

No delay, you must have added it incorrectly or the avatar does not meet the size specifications. Go back to your user CP and re-add it & make sure it meets the size specifications.

 

It's 60 by 57 pixels. It meets the maximum 60x60 size. I even re added it and still no luck.

 

I have the same problem. Can't load an avatar.

The avatar I tried to upload was 60x45 and 1.30kb.

I thought 120x100 was the max.

I submitted a support ticket, and was told to come here.

The server tranisition just happened lately

There is presently a situation in regards to Photo uploading of all kinds on FTE.


Just keeps trying occasionally

 

Since switching to the new server, the members email (if enabled) is no longer displayed when you click on the members name. Only the private message info comes up. The email link is still listed under the members profile.

Resizing pics for use as a possible Avatar here on FTE is a PITA. I resized, but when I uploaded the pic, it was a blurry mess. I have Avatars on other sites, and I didn't have to resize anything to upload them.

 

That may be have been removed to prevent Bots from spamming FTE users

 

What the H is a Bot?

The only Bot I know of is the name (Botts dots) for those coloured reflectors glued onto roads and highways.

 

I think robots, but I'm not sure.
