tilt steering lever - broke 3rd time
this is the third time my lever for my tilt steering wheel has broke. It just breaks right off to what it is ever it is hooked up to. The lever isnt broken but it just comes off to whatever it is attached to to control the steering wheel.
Has anybody else had this problem? If so what can I tell the dealer to make sure they fix it right. I am going to take it to a different dealer to hopefully fix it right. still under warranty.

Mine did that. I just mixed up a small blob of epoxy glue, put it in the attachment part of the handle and slid it back over the piece that it hooks to in the steering column. The plastic handle indexes a small metal tab on the column and you pull out (toward the cab seat) on the handle to engage the pieces or push in (toward the firewall) to pop the handle off.

Mine was doing the same thing, I just drilled a 1/8" hole in the plastic handle at the front of the metal block that it slides onto and used a hexhead sheetmetal screw to hold it on. The screw sticks out just enough to keep it from sliding off. Just had to remove cover under steering column and a metal plate behind the plastic cover to gain access. Or try a new handle they are $16.95 at the dealer, but it will come off after awhile also.
