Scratched dash paint - ugh!

Ouch! - Passenger with his shoe up on leg inadvertently scratches dash on 07 Limited. What can I do? I thought I might be able to replace this silver colored trim piece around the 12v socket, but it looks like it continues around the airbag and glovebox and is integral in the dash. Is there touch-up paint for the silver dash area?

I have noticed the silver paint is extremely easy to scratch on these trucks. I would call the parts department and see if they have the paint. Detailers can sometime airbrush scratches too.

Here are a couple of places that might sell that silver.

I also scatched mine....I decided to have the fake wood installed. Looks great and no more worrying about scratches.

There is a wood kit that goes over the silver area? Do you have a link or pictures we can see? I'd be very interested in checking that out. Don't know how a different wood would look next to the existing though.

The wood in this ebay auction #200153036508 looks nice. Take a look at the African Zebra wood it looks to be almost an exact match. Maybe they can send you a sample to see. This would be the best way to cover the scratches and prevent further ones from popping up.

No way..Professional install only...I thought the same thing until I saw the work that goes into the job. You do not want to mess up this one on a do it yourself job.

Nice. Did you leave the OEM wood trim in the doors and near the shifter?
