Truck show fun lasted even longer for me.
Hey all,
All the way back up the road I kept thinking about my trophy.
When I got to the company cook out that evening with all the Dodge boys there, I pulled up right in front of the shop door.
Then I jumped out and set the trophy on the hood.
Walked inside and announced "Look and old Ford can go to a truck show and bring home a trophy even if the grill is out, the dash and a lot of the interior is out and it has a rust hole in the fender."
The non Dodge drivers, both Ford and a couple Chevies just busted out laughing.
The Dodge owners just turned red and got funny looking grins.
The Dodge owners are car show people.
Then one looks at the trophy and says " But it was for longest distance"
I just said " It's still a trophy" and everyone had a good laugh again.
That was worth the fuel I burnt getting down there and back alone.
Just thought I would let you know, I was still having fun because of the show 4 hours after I left.
I had a blast.
The cooking women were great.
I enjoyed talking everyone I met.
I had so much fun there, I just couldn't stop after I left.

Dave we really had a lot of fun with you and your truck at the show. I know it was a looooong haul (especially with the discomfort you were in) for you but it was certainly worth it to us.
It was especially worth it after reading what you wrote above!!!
Thanks for making the show Pal!
