first, how do I disassemble my dashboard to get at the odometer?

 

is your light going out? use the search option. my buds expedition has that problem and there is a post that tells how to fix it but i dont think it tells how to take the dash appart?start pulling off panels around the steering wheel it should be easy enough to figure out.

Takes about an hour or so if you're careful and don't want to scratch anything. Fixed mine better than new. Great instructions. Read the post further to get the headlight switch to come right off easily.

 

IIRC the `97 F-150 was not available with the digital odometer, old style reels only.
