Biocide Recommendations??

All diesel fuels are susceptable to degradation and slim/bacteria growth when stored for long periods at a time. Biodiesel is a little more susceptable than dino D, but both should be stored with care. Most diesel users don't know that even dino D needs special storage precautions when stored longer than a few months.

With that said, I'm wondering what some of you use for overwintering your biodiesel? Is there a brand or type that is better than others specifically for BD?? Is a dino D biocide basically the same as what we want to use for our BD??

My F-350 will be sitting most of the winter, so I want to add a biocide to it's tank to keep it clean. I won't be storing the truck with B99 in it...have it reduced down to around B20 now... ...I miss my B99 already!!

Thanks!!

wheatina,

I posted a similar question on the General Diesel Discussion forum and got 'nada' so far. Why is this so hard to find? Or am I just missing something?

Diesel Kleen also makes a biocide - bio kleen http://www.powerservice.com/bk/

you should be able to get it just about anywhere, parts house, walmart, etc.
