I am looking to add an exhaust tip to my expedition. I measured my tailpipe and it measure 2.75". I am having trouble finding a tip with that size inlet. For those of you that do not have the factory chrome exhaust tip, can you measure the piping to verify if I am measuring correctly. Most vehicles are either 2.5" or 3" piping. Thanks for your help.

I found the same problem. I have found a few 2.75' inlets, but they were ugly and too expensive.

i think i might purchase the borla round intercooled. It has the 2.75" inlet, and an 4"outlet, just not quite sure if 4" outlet is too large or not.

4" will look too big in my opinion.

I have one on my 07. The 07 came with it. But Ford shows a price of $100 which seems kind of high as it is just a chrome tube as far as I can tell. Nothing special.

They have machines that can bend/stretch pipes, etc.

How much did they charge?

it sounds really good. wanted a magna flow but got a flowmaster delta force because i wanted it to sound good, not loud. It has quite a woosh sound at high rpm's but not much rumble. and the rest of the rpm range sounds great and deep.

go aftermarket. if they do mandrel bent pipe for the exhaust they can do it. its the machince that flares the end so it can slide over original size.

Able to find a 2.75 in. inlet slant stainless tip for $35 after tax and shipping. Here is the link for those interested. I believe they also come in with straight round rolled tip as well. Decided for the smitttybilt stainless over the carriage works, basically because it opens it up to 3.5 in. instead of 3"
