Transmission Fluid Change

Transmission Fluid Change
I just did my 50K Transmission flush (had a local Lube Shop do it) I was driving my truck today and noticed that my truck kept shifting repeatedly at 70 MPH, I don't know if it was because of some headwind that my truck was struggling to keep up or what!! I really never noticed it before and now I'm a little nervous. It hasn't done it anymore but still worried me a little. Anybody have any ideas or comments? Maybe something like "you should know better than to have someone else change your fluids!"

Yes this would be the first 2 things I would look into, especially the correct fluid bit. I would be pretty suspect of having a "jiffy-lube" type shop change my tranny fluid. At minimum wage I always wonder how much concern those quick-lube guys have for my $30,000-$40,000+ (new) truck. You don't see many BMW's, Mercedes-type cars in those places. I don't even let them do my wife's 2.0 liter Zetec Contour's oil. As I change it myself I get a chance to look at the belts, the exhaust pipe(s), the hoses, etc. I know what's going on with all my rigs by taking 15 minutes of my time and changing my own oil and fluids. It's time for a tranny fluid change on the big rig and I'm even going to do that myself, I'll let you all know how much tranny fluid I end up wearing ! I think it takes what, 16 quarts ? I'm going to Mobil 1 synthetic trans fluid @$6 a quart ? Yowzers, that's only the major portion of a hun, plus the filter,,,,,gadzooks !!

Just to let everyone know, I did take it back to the shop and had them change it again. No problems this time. I watched them do it the first time and second time, right fluid, checked the levels replaced the filter...everything. I have no idea why it had problems the first time. I can tell you that I do my own maint whenever possible, sometimes do have the time, but you can bet I will make time from now on with a 30,000 dollar truck!!!
