The truck is scheduled for maintenance
I've developed warped front rotors and it's not gonna get any better so I've scheduled the truck into the shop for Tuesday. I'm also having them look at the fuel gauge. Lately, when I fill up, everything resets except the fuel gauge. It moves up to about a quarter tank and stops. Re-starting the truck doesn't seem to help either. About three starts later, the gauge functions normally again until the next fill.
So....Tuesday I drop off the truck and pick up the loaner and we'll see what I get back.

LMAO!!!
I just called the dealership for an update. The brakes are fixed...no problem. The problem is the "r 0402 fail" code I got off the odometer. None of their folks is familiar with the code and don't know what it is. They tried pulling DTCs but there are no codes. So....they're gonna have to call Ford. They also can't duplicate the fuel gauge issue. They're wondering if it's related to the r 0402 failure issue.
More to come!
