You can get 3 different tunes - for performance, torque, and/or economy, for various octane ratings. You can turn off the speed limiter, you can adjust the rev limits to pretty much whatever you want, etc. You can return to stock program whenever you want.

You can also read diagnostic codes, and do real-time datalogging.

My dyno data w/ 89 perf. tune shows 5-10 lb-ft torque increase almost all across the rpm range, and I get better mileage at the same time.

I have had a 98 with 4.0, 4wd, 5 sp., 4:10, posi since new. I have always gotten around 18-20 with it. You would think a 6 cyl. would do better than that? Guess not. Guess the 4wd and 4:10 really kills the economy.

My '03 gets around 19mpg overall. Lately I've been making some all-highway 200 mile round trips and I've been getting about 22.
