Steering problem on 07 f150
I recently bought a F150(7 days ago) and I had the dealership put on some aftermarket wheels...They said they put on a leveling kit, and while the truck lost its rake, i looked for what ever they installed but didnt locate it...im looking in the wrong places. Anyway, the DAY i got my truck back from the dealership, i drove to my buddy's house to show off...When i left, i backed out of his driveway, turned the wheel clockwise to lock and heard a big "cha-chunk", as if something shifted in the suspension. Now my steering wheel is cocked to 2 o'clock when the wheels are straight. Today, i heard the noise again, but no real change in the steering wheel position. Anyone have an idea what this could be and if it could have anything to do with this leveling kit? All lug nuts are tight and the steering rack wasn't loose if it tugged on it with my hands.

STOP.
If your steering wheel is not aligned right, and all of this changed due to backing out of a driveway, something is DEAD WRONG with your front suspension!!!
If the same, or greater, force is applied to the front wheels(i.e. hitting a pothole), you could lose steering and all control of your truck. This could get you and a bunch of other people killed.
PLEASE, for your safety and the safety of everyone else on the road, get it towed to the dealer, and DO NOT DRIVE IT.

Any update? What was the problem?
Jeffsjacked,
Have you taken it to the dealership yet? I'm anxious to find out what they said the problem was because my '05 does the same thing, but it eventually pops again and the wheel goes back to the proper alignment.
I installed a 6" Rancho lift with 35's and have had a warranty problem with this. One of the seals for the front driveshaft was leaking and they originally wanted to charge me full pop for the repair since it's been lifted, but I argued up a storm since they were also BS'ing me with what they had to do to replace the seal and managed to get out for $95. I'm afraid they are going to charge me for this as well.
Please please please give me an update, this is driving me nuts.
