Spent the weekend on the river again down here in SE GA this weekend and I agree, it was hot. Thank goodness for the pop up canopy, bag chairs, & cold beverages! We set the canopy up in the edge of river and put the chairs in the water with shade for a change. If not for that it would have been even hotter.

It has been hot. I have been keeping a cooler full of powerade/gatorade in the back of the truck lately. I hope everyone is drinking plenty of fluids. This has been perfect weather for dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Got some pretty good rain here over the last week and it has helped out a lot. Have not seen any smoke but I have a couple of friends working the fire and it is not out yet, just smoldering down in the peat in the swamp.

I actually watered the lawn this morning. Should have known watering would bring the rain.
