JP fuel

well i have been searching around and didn't find much on the use of JP fuels. ie jp4 jp5 jp8. i know that jp4 is bad. but what about jp5 and 8 if i were to add some type of addative to make it less dry? (2 stroke oil 100:1) just wanted to know i have a almost endless stock of jp 8 and 5

What makes you think JP4 is bad. It is probably the closest to #2.

If you mix it with BD you should have no problems.

Jet fuels are essentially refined kerosene and kerosene is refined diesel.
Some of the newer Jet fuels, like JP5 and JP8 have some additives to affect performance and possibly some lubricity enhancers but shouldnt really prevent it from working in a diesel engine.
The biggest problem in Jet Fuel is the total lack of sulpher lousy lubricity.

JP fuel with two stroke oil or even transmission fluid, which is a high detergent 10wt oil, should run fine. The fuel trucks on base run the same JP-8 going into the birds...so I know it'll burn....just need to lubricate it to keep from scoring your expensive injectors.
