anyone been up there yet? Saw on the news and the website about drag racing on some friday nights so taking the PSD up there next friday 5/25 and race it to see how it will do, if anyone is interested might be a good mini gtg.
Didn't think there was enough room to run drags, unless they are running 1/8ths... I want to get there, but time is a factor with classes, start them again in the morning, went out to South Dakota for last week, brought a couple more cars home, as well as my two motorcycles I can't ride any more...
Heck, just get started, and the fun's over... I know, most people prefer 1/8 to watch because they can see the beginning and end, but I like the full 1/4... may only be a few seconds, but feels like minutes when you're on the track... Unless you're turning 10 second runs, don't hardly get to 100 even in the quarter... I like the speed more than the quick runs. I ran 15 second runs with an old 454 3/4 bias ply tire truck back in tech school, sure, it wasn't as heavy as your stroker, but had enough weight... There are quite a few running the quarter with their trucks... but the closest tracks for that are Cedar Falls and Cordova. last i heard, Cedar Falls had pretty much quit running the 1/4 for regular races, just 1/8.
forgot to post in here the results from last friday, I did make a post on it in the 99-03 psd section. but ended up with the last run being my best.

just thought I would post that and probably gonna go back June 15th as I had a blast
My friends dad is the one that runs the drags there.... its a really nice track...i try to get down there as often as possible... lol hard to pass up free tickets to every event.. haha
Well its more competitive, and you will bring in more general population, and its less hassel for specs for class's...basically you have to be able to drive it there... and not drag slicks
