June 30th - NJ Meet & Greet
Ford Truck Enthusiasts - NJ Chapter - Summer Party
Saturday, June 30nd 2007 - 2:00PM until whenever!
You are cordially invited to attend the FTE NJ Chapter's Summer Party, which will be hosted in Colonia, NJ, 07067 (Right off the Garden State Parkway).
All the typical grilling will occur, and there will be beer, wine, soda and iced tea as well. The inground pool will be open and if necessary, heated so children and adults alike are welcomed to go for a dip. We have a seperate, fenced in area for smaller children so they do not have unsupervised access to the pool for safety reasons.
We ask for a $5 donation to help lower the cost of food and drink, per person.
Also, there's enough lawn to set up Bacci, Croquet, Volleyball, Badmitten, and a variety of other activities to keep the children amused while we relax, sun, chat and swim.
Please RSVP on this webform (directions included):

Yes, you did state that in the NJ forum. I crossposted it since I wasn't sure that PA folks read the NJ chapter section, and vice versa. Hope that's okay.
And those who are attending, please use the RSVP page, it's very easy to use. This way I can keep track of the necessary food/drink in one place.
Thanks!

I wrote the RSVP system like 10 years ago... I find it much easier than doing a mass mailing over and over as more people sign up.
Basically it's a PHP script that generates HTML "on the fly" off three files: the event description file, the rsvp database file, and the directions file. To reuse the system for another event I simply delete the rsvp database file and edit the event description and viola, it's ready for the next event.
I find this easier for everyone - attendees and myself - directions and size of event is on the same page and at a glance I can see who's coming and you folks can see how to get here.
There's also a cancellation page that's not publically accessable - only on my private LAN. It was a useful page as about five years ago, I had to cancel a 70-person BBQ because I was rushed to the hospital to have my gall bladder ripped out at one in the morning. While lying on a gurney waiting to be "put under" I used the cancellation page from my cell phone to cancel the event before the angry nurse took my cell phone away. The cancellation message was "bbq cancel in hospital gall blad out" lol. Best I could do while lightly doped
Only two people showed up because they didn't read their email that morning. Not too bad considering I wasn't there.

Bah humbug. Nobody from PA going besides Joe?
Besides, I think we will be discussing how to divide up the New Jersery chapter. Delaware wants Atlantic City south to Cape May. PA can have the rest. lol
Frederic has made it real easy to sign up, instructions follow.
