June 30th - NJ Chapter Meet & Greet
Ford Truck Enthusiasts - NJ Chapter - Summer Party
Saturday, June 30nd 2007 - 2:00PM until whenever!
You are cordially invited to attend the FTE NJ Chapter's Summer Party, which will be hosted in Colonia, NJ, 07067 (Right off the Garden State Parkway).
All the typical grilling will occur, and there will be beer, wine, soda and iced tea as well. The inground pool will be open and if necessary, heated so children and adults alike are welcomed to go for a dip. We have a seperate, fenced in area for smaller children so they do not have unsupervised access to the pool for safety reasons.
We ask for a $5 donation to help lower the cost of food and drink, per person.
Also, there's enough lawn to set up Bacci, Croquet, Volleyball, Badmitten, and a variety of other activities to keep the children amused while we relax, sun, chat and swim.
Please RSVP on this webform (directions included):

bob, i have discussed this with Fred, and we have come up with the request that you just bring yourselves.
we are going to do all the buying and suppling, with chef Fred doing the grilling unless someone else steps to the plate.
if you want to bring anything special to eat or drink, that is fine. or if you would like to request something special, i will see what i can do.

I sure hope so! Otherwise all the powerwashing I've done this week (11 hrs so far) was a waste... as was making a 14' modular picnic table... hauling close to 3500lbs of debris "over the scales... etc.
Not to mention food/drink/alcohol for 20 I'd have to eat in a hurry!
So yes, absolutely it's a go. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

Oh yeah. You should have seen the yard a week ago - you couldn't see the patio or the concrete - the whole place was covered with dirt, sawdust, and chips from when this large maple tree decided to try and kill me. One of several:
I was standing at the pool pump emptying the pump basket when this came down without any warning. Crack! Wham! Skimmed my back, knocking off my baseball cap and tearing my shirt, but no injury to me other than the shock. Of course I chopped two fingers very well when I was chainsawing it up into pieces, like so:
You can see in the second picture the baby fence/gate system I've been building out of plywood.
At least my fingers healed well enough I can still play bass as bad as I did beforehand
Anyway, back to powerwashing. At least the pool is crystal clean and getting fairly warm. Got the ladders installed finally (I normally don't bother).
