Hi all. I'm from the Middleton area and was wondering if anyone knew of some good, fun, legal places to wheel? Nothing exteme, just some easy-moderateb trails or some mud. Any good places in the hills?
Take the back way into Silver City, through Reynolds Creek area...spring time is best. I haven't been up that route in quite a few years, I'm not sure if you can still go up that way as they may have closed it to trucks and such. Jump Creek out in the Owyhees is good, too. It's west of Marsing by about 10 minutes or so.
Ok. thanks fatfndr! The back way to Silver City...thats if you take hwy 45 south from Nampa right? or is that the front way...I can never remember!
South of Nampa on Highway-45. Once you cross over the snake river, by Walter's Ferry, the road will bank left onto highway 78. You go just a short ways, and the next road on the right should be Reynolds Creek Road, going west (it has a real rocky "pasture" or field running along side it). It's paved for a few miles and will come to a motorcycle park. It's not paved for too long and then it turns to dirt. None-the-less...this is a long way to Silver City. Like I said, I don't know if they have shut down this road or not. There are a few ranches back there and I'm not sure if the road is closed now. It's kind of pretty back in there. You should go to Cabella's and get one of the Idaho road and recreation atlas maps. It breaks down the whole state into small sections and gives alot of detail. They usually are under $20...you might even find it at Walmart. Good Luck
I'll have to try that. Thanks. I've been out there by rabbit creek. Its in the same kind of area. I know the "rocky" field you are talking about, too. We go jackrabbit hunting out there and I've done a little wheelin. One time we saw some actual rock buggies...it was pretty cool.
Well i actually have a good place you can go...it's called titty butte, if you hop on the freeway and go to the kuna-meridian exit and exit to the right, go out kuna rd into kuna you'll see a rd called swanfalls rd, take a left there and pass over the railroad tracks, go all the way out, it's about 5 mile from town and you'll come to an opening on the right, go up that rd and over the hill and you see more mudd than yer rigg can bother to see. That's where i go muddin and have had lot's of good memories out there you should hit me up and we'll go this weekend.
So are there a lot of people usually out there? How bad for gettin stuck? I got tow straps and chains. I dont think we have anything planned for this weekend so ya, we should try to get out there and give 'er hell!
nah there's not usually alot of people out there in the day time but it's a party haven at night on the weekends because of the sand pit, cops and people can't see it from the road....we'll have to go next weekend, im goin fishin on sat, and getin baptized on sun....so im full...next weekend.....is that a date......lol
