Question

Fabman,
I obtained a vacuum pump and a tank to recover to. I plan on pulling the vacuum from my modified appleseed through the condenser mounted to the reactor than into the recovery tank. I have two more questions.

What temp should the bio be at when I pull the vacuum?

What would happen if I left the glycerol in the reactor with the bio (instead of setteling and seperating the two into different containers). Can you also recover the methanol from both at the same time. Either before they settle and seperate or after they settle and seperate then pull the vacuum?

STOP! Back away from your processor ,now that I got your attention..............If you remove the Methanol from the combination it will revert back to ............OIL! Actually not oil at all, the bonds were cut, now it's just goo................

When I was using vacuum I had the temp at 100 deg F.
