My truck died on me Friday night. Had it towed to Ford country. Monday they tell me the Head gasket is blown, the #5 piston is shot, and I've got coolant in the oil. They ordered a new engine for my X, but I still don't know if it's gonna be covered under warrenty (sp) or if it's gonna come out of pocket. Most likely, Warrenty (sp). I'll have my X back by Mon day at the latest! This sucks!

 

What mods did you have it should be covered on warranty thats some major issues right there. Sorry to hear about that.

 

Remember what we talked about at the last G2G? Time to buy that truck!!

 

Be aware though once you get a diesel you wont ever go back

 

Thought you were going for a late April fools but figuring not, that really does suck. Nubeee1 might be on to something though, just might be trade in time b4 anything else goes wrong.

No blowing a head gasket

 

Hehe... I've been having a minor rattling coming from my X for a while now. I was told my one of the mechanics at my shop that it sounded like something in the exhaust and not to worry about it. So I believed him and didn't get it checked out. Then, last week, I just ran it way to hard and it gave out. So apparently it wasn't my exhaust after all. All is well now. I have my X again and it is running better than before. For now on, it's getting babied!!!

 

Jason, You being the Chapter leader, Could you start a thread for roll call ? Lets find out who's still out there. This chapter is way to quite!!!! I didn't want to step on any toes!!Have any member copy your name and paste theres under yours

 

So Jason, did they warranty the exploder?

 

Yeah they did. It was rebuilt.
