I got another truck. Its not a ford but the price was right at 500 bucks. It is a rustbucket 78 C10. I needed an extra set of wheels so I can do some upgrades to old blue. Depending on how the c10 treats me I will either ultimately use it for my junkhauler or part it out and scrap it which will make me a few dollars. The turn signals in the front fenders were busted out. The funny thing is the ones on my 78 econoline I have for a parts donor were perfect bolt on. Maybe if I put enough ford parts on their it will turn out to be a decent truck. So whos gonna send donations for my mental therapy so I don't buy any more cheesys?
I was not in a hurry to tell that. I have had it since Thursday. I still make fun of it daily. It has actually not left the yard since I have had it still getting used to the idea.
I just stumbled on that one. The cheap price is probably due to rust and bondo. I looked at it as with the good drive train it has I could strip it down and make money then crush it to make more. That took any gamble out of it. I was actually looking for a ford but could not find the deal I was looking for at the moment. When I get up the nerve to start driving it I can beat on it and not feel bad when I break it. I know my old ford could take a lot more abuse and love it but I want to drive it forever.
Sorry to hear that. My chevy gets parted and scrapped soon. It served its purpose. It was just mainly a cheap truck to get me around while I upgraded blue. I got a spare ford now plus the chevy just dumped coolant in the oil.
