retrofit navigation

The factory navigation system can be very easily added at the dealership. It can be the exct set up offered by the factory but..........I got a new Explorer as a loaned when my Expedition was in for repairs and it had an aftermarket Kenwood stereo in in that had Navigation capability. I really liked it because it was just like my portable Garmin system(very user friendly) I was also won over by the back up camera that this unit had. My Expedition has the sensors that beep as you get close to an object behind you but a picture is worth a thousand beeps!
Ford could really improve on its current system and the Kenwood unit already out there is proof of whats possible!
Bottom line is factory system is OK but you may want to look at a few aftermarket systems before you go for it!
