transmission number decode

Hey guys I need this transmission number decoded.


C8 AR 7006-C


This is for a 1964 f-100. With a 223 inline six.

It may be in a 1964 F100, but it's from a 1968 Ford passenger car.

Doesn't matter, all the internal parts are the same for this 1968 all syncro 3.03 Ford 3 speed transmission as they are for a 1964.

I found some more #s on the transmission.

RF 65AR 7050

what do these mean.
Just wanted to make sure that this tranny would work in my truck. Any idea what size clutch and stuff to make it fit my 223?

RF 65AR 7050 Should read C5AR, it's the engineering number for the input shaft bearing retainer at the front of the tranny.

what do these mean.
Just wanted to make sure that this tranny would work in my truck. Any idea what size clutch and stuff to make it fit my 223?

10" clutch, 6 springs on disc.

B3TZ-7561-A .. Throwout Bearing Collar

C0TZ-7580-A .. Throwout Bearing

70-7600-B .. Pilot Bearing

All parts are available from auto parts stores.
